Bharath University (Deemed-to-be) admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts its own Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination (BEEE) to provide admission to UG Engineering courses. Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research also accepts national-level entrance exams like NATA for admission to BArch courses. The mode of study at BU is full-time and part-time (classroom). The university offers more than a hundred courses at UG, PG and PhD levels through 18 schools and four institutes. Bharath University BTech is offered with sixteen specialisation options at the UG level through its constituent schools. The duration of the course is four years, spread across eight semesters. Yes, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research provides lateral entry to the BTech course. Through lateral entry, candidates get direct admission in the second-year of the course. BTech (LE) is offered for a duration of three-years to aspirants who have completed Diploma recognised by central or state government with at least 50% aggregate or BSc Mathematics or its equivalent. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria must meet the merit requirement set by the university for admission.
