Admission to B.Sc. Nursing Courses is through Common Entrance Test -2024 conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). As per Govt. order No. MED 51 RGU 2023 dated 13/04/2023 for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) course, candidates need to appear for KCET examination conducted by KEA.
The eligibility criteria for B.Sc. in Nursing are:
i) The candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December, 2024
ii) Minimum Educational qualification is pass in the Pre-University Examination of Karnataka Board of Pre-University Education with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects (40% for SC, ST & OBC Candidates) or any other examination recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences as equivalent to 2 years PUC.
iii) Students awaiting results may also apply.
iv) Religious Sisters should have completed one year after their religious profession .
No age bar for admission.

The college is quite strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) at St. John's Medical College. The requirements include:- Minimum age for admission is 17 years and there is no age bar.- Pass in 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognised board.- Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognised by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognised by Central Government. However, Science is preferable.- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognised CBSE board/Centre.- Religious sisters, who apply should have completed one year after their first religious profession.- Students awaiting result also may apply.
