M.Com. in Financial Analysis - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
College was best for the M.Com in financial analysis course.
Placements: There was a placement cell with several firms such as the Big 4, JPMC, Wells Fargo, Genpact, and others. The highest salary package offered ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 LPA, while the lowest ranges from 4.5 to 5 LPA. The college received an A+ grade from NAAC. Tier 1 colleges provide extensive experience.
Infrastructure: The newly constructed infrastructure was fantastic, with water facilities, restrooms, and a pleasant sitting area. Our college has a large library full of books. Wi-Fi is accessible. The canteen was also clean and sanitary. There was a contemporary computer lab. The classroom benches are fairly comfortable, with three kids sitting comfortably on each one.
Faculty: The faculty members here were very well trained, and most of them have a doctorate and Ph.D. degrees. They are quite proficient in their subjects. The semester exams were quite moderate, and if you know the basics, you can pass the exams. The pass rate was 85%. We have a diverse course syllabus here, such as guest lectures, industrial visits, and rural visits, which make the course here more interesting.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - Batch of 2024

It was a rollercoaster journey, will miss my friends but not the college.
Placements: 78 students are there in my class excluding the program students. There are 38 so total students are 116, and it is a total mess to understand lectures in class. We have internship opportunities as well but few only get selected like 4-5 from our class.
Infrastructure: Talking about the facilities available, we have a huge campus. The classrooms are also big and comfortable. Also, we have labs on down floor but we have a general library for all the departments. So talking about Wi-Fi, we have but it is used by teachers only.
Faculty: Teachers are good from their side but I felt like they are putting least effort for the students to get knowledge. They are average for me as they just used to read what is in the book which we can do at home only so there's no need for teachers.
Other: I love accounts, therefore I chose this course.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - Batch of 2026

Please with the college I joined.
Placements: B.Com Regular has had some good placements in SJCC over the years. I have not graduated yet and I'm in my second year. The highest package offered for B.Com Regular was around 16 LPA and there are many campus recruitments. Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, JP Morgan, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Decathlon, EY, Tata, etc. A few of my colleagues got internships at Goldman Sachs. Hence, the placement cell is effective in SJCC.
Infrastructure: There are many labs and cafeterias in the college. The classrooms are very spacious and well-equipped and furnished. The library is loaded with lots of terrific books. But SJCC doesn't provide a hostel facility as of now. They have a boys hostel in Victoria layout which is for all the Josephite institutions.
Faculty: The teachers are very insightful in the subjects. They possess good teaching and imparting skills. The course curriculum is well developed to make sure that we are in line with the present requirements. The exams are not that difficult and are manageable.
Other: The main reason to opt for SJCC was due to the convenience of timings. As a CA student, if you prefer a top B college, this is the one. This college will provide everything that a student needs. Further, the crowd of the college makes the three colleges more lively. Situated in the heart of the city, it gives immense pleasure to come to this college.

The infrastructure is great despite being a comparatively smaller campus.
Placements: Among various Big Four companies, startups, and other well-paying and recognized organizations, this college offers excellent placement opportunities. The highest salary is Rs. 2,400,000 from DeShaw and Rs. 6,40,000 from Goldman Sachs. The average package is Rs. 4,00,000. Top roles include finance, accounts, business, and management. The college has tie-ups with professional boards such as CIMA, CPA, CFA, and ACCA.
Infrastructure: There are two computer labs, a library, classrooms with CCTV, football ground, basketball grounds, washrooms for girls and boys and staff on every floor. Many indoor games are offered and opportunities are given at national and state levels. One indoor canteen and various small shops are available inside as well as outside.
Faculty: Autonomous board. Teachers are very well qualified. They are knowledgeable and well-versed in the subject knowledge. Offers a lot of practical subjects for day-to-day life like finance. Offers internships and full time along with compulsory social and corporate internships for 8 weeks each. Semester exams are on a medium to hard level difficult where passing is 24 marks out of 60 and 20 for midterms and 20 for CIA's.
Other: The course I chose had a tie-up with Cima hence I chose it. The best thing about it is practical and case studies-based knowledge. I had to write only 3 exams as 13 were exempted by my college. Various inter and intra-collegiate fests are offered. Scholarships based on income and academic levels are also provided.

B.Com. in BPM - Industry Integrated - Batch of 2026

3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Great college for your graduation life. The college needs to update its syllabus regularly.
Placements: Around 70% of students get listed each year. The highest packages are around 15 lacs and the lowest packages are around 3 lacs. The college is tied up with Tata Consultancy Services. Other companies like EY, Goldman Sachs, and Deloitte hire students. The internship opportunities provided by the campus are quite low but students usually get their paid internship off campus. The top roles offered in my course would be analyst, roles related to BPS or accountant and tax roles.
Infrastructure: The college campus is comparatively quite small. We do have great infrastructure within the space. There is Wi-Fi provided to the students. The college has two auditoriums, Loyola Hall and the Xavier Hall. There is a spacious library in the basement and also we have a football ground and a basketball ground.
Faculty: The teaching faculty at SCC is really good. Some experienced teachers have good subject matter knowledge. The course curriculum is related and specific integrated courses like ACCA and CMA are very relevant in the job market. The semester exams are not very difficult and SJCC is the best place for students who are pursuing a professional course alongside their degree.
Other: I chose the scores because I felt that it has an industrial-relevant syllabus and teaching. I feel that the course must revise its syllabus regularly and make it updated so that we do not have to study outdated syllabi. Events and the fests are quite okay. Scholarships provided for students in need are a really good initiative by the college.

Good college but can be better in campus and faculty, strict for professional course students.
Placements: So I'm in my 3rd year in B.Com and I got placed in my 5th semester. The highest package that has come till now was from JP Morgan, which was 7.5 CTC. The average package is around 4.5 CTC. Around 80-85% of students applying for placements land a job. Though the salary range is not very high, the number of students placed is more. Internship opportunities also exist in the second year. Major recruitment companies include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Case, KPMG, EY, Ditto Insurance, Zomato, RSM, and many more.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel available for girls in SJCC. I have heard of a hostel facility for boys, but I'm not sure about it. The campus is quite small for the accommodation strength of the college but has all necessary infrastructure, which includes a library with a research section, computer labs, classrooms, etc.
Faculty: Faculty can vary in knowledge levels. While a few faculty members are highly qualified, they do not know how to teach well or handle a class of 80. A few good teachers are there. The course is formed well and has imbibed open electives and practical aspects such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI, which helped me in my interview as well. The level of exams is average.
