It depends on the course in which the student is interested. St. Joseph's College of Engineering offers BTech, MBA, MTech, and BBA courses. Admission to the MTech, and MBA courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the CEETA and the TANCET exams respectively. Applications for both exams generally opens in the month of February and are currently open. Admission to the BTech courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the TNEA counseling. The applications for the counselling begins in the month of May and are currently closed. Admissions to the BBA courses is done based on the scores obtained in the previous qualification are not open currently.

Eligibility:Academic Qualification: One must clear the 10+2 level examination from any recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as obligatory subjects. In regard to obtaining the minimum percentages, it differs for each category- General, Backward Classes, etc. For the current year, check the official website or look out the prospectus by this college.Entrance Exam: Admission to B.E. / B.Tech programs at SJCE is mainly through your score in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) entrance exam.Selection Process:TNEA Application: Apply and appear for the TNEA entrance exam. The application window usually opens in December.Ranking and Counselling: Thereafter, based on the obtained score in TNEA, a ranking would be assigned. The subsequent stages involve TNEA rounds of counselling where candidates have to choose colleges of interest as well as preferred courses and can also apply to SJCE. The allotted seats depend upon rank secured in TNEA, college preference and the available seats.
