SurTech Hosts All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament
June 20, 2024: SurTech is excited to announce the All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament, a much-anticipated event that will unite chess enthusiasts from across the state. The tournament will be hosted at the SurTech campus, in collaboration with various departments such as Mechanical Engineering Department, Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, and Automobile Engineering Department.
Apart from this, prominent institutes such as the JIS Group, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, JIS School of Polytechnic, and Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) will participate. This initiative's goal is to encourage a competitive spirit and a love for chess among students and chess fans in Bengal.
This tournament is being organised in collaboration with Checkmate Chess Academy and Bengal Chess Lovers with the factor of fast-paced chess matches and will offer participants a challenging and energetic format to check their tactical thinking and quick decision-making skills. The event is open to all and offers an inclusive stage for players of diverse skill levels to boast their talents.
