SurTech organized a tree plantation drive on the campus, involving students, faculty, and staff from many departments, including Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering. This collaborative effort underscores the value of collective action in fostering sustainability and environmental care.

The SurTech community and participants planted enthusiastically a variety of saplings across the campus, contributing to a grassy & healthier ecosystem and making a positive result on the environment. Furthermore, SurTech emphasized the importance of small and daily acts in the fight against environmental deterioration, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and encouraging eco-friendly exercises.

SurTech Hosts All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament
June 20, 2024: SurTech is excited to announce the All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament, a much-anticipated event that will unite chess enthusiasts from across the state. The tournament will be hosted at the SurTech campus, in collaboration with various departments such as Mechanical Engineering Department, Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, and Automobile Engineering Department.
Apart from this, prominent institutes such as the JIS Group, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, JIS School of Polytechnic, and Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) will participate. This initiative's goal is to encourage a competitive spirit and a love for chess among students and chess fans in Bengal.
This tournament is being organised in collaboration with Checkmate Chess Academy and Bengal Chess Lovers with the factor of fast-paced chess matches and will offer participants a challenging and energetic format to check their tactical thinking and quick decision-making skills. The event is open to all and offers an inclusive stage for players of diverse skill levels to boast their talents.
The All Bengal Open Rapid Chess Tournament at SurTech is set to be a historic event that integrates the chess community and strengthens the importance of academic endeavors in educational institutions.

L&T, Hindustan Management Company, Tata Consultancy, ABL Construction, and many more are top recruiting companies. Site visited management and site engineer are the top roles offered by the college.
Placements: Approximately 70 to 75% of students get placed in our course. The highest package in this course at our college is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 2.75 LPA, and the average package is 4.80 LPA. The top recruiter for my college is TCS. At least 55% of students get internships at TCS, etc. Junior developer positions are offered in our course.

Around 60% of students secure internships through TCS and Internshala. Roles offered include ML engineer, data analyst, and AI developer.
Placements: 60% of placements in my course. The highest package in my batch is 6 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Ericsson is the top recruiting company. On average, 75% of students get internships through Internshala. The top roles offered in my course are junior engineer and developer.
Placements: The academic infrastructure is undoubtedly good. The highest package is 24 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. Accenture recruits the most. 98% of students got internships. And senior engineers, junior engineers, intern trainees, and more roles are given.
