Yes, it is possible to get into UPES without writig an entrance exam since the univerity offers direct admission to a number of courses, namely Non-Exam Pathway, BBA, BSc, BTech and BCom courses. While admission to a majority of courses is also offered basis university level entrance exams, the university mentios this route of admission on it official website. 

Candidates who have passed graduation in any stream along with Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate can apply for MBA course. Apart from meeting the eligiiblity requirement, candidates also need to pass either UPESMET/ CAT/ CUET PG  for admission to MBA course. In case, any aspirant fails to secure the minimum marks* specified by the university, he or she will need to appear for UPESMET. For admission to Global MBA, aspirants only need to come for the PI round. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview round for further selection. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants will need to prove their eligibility by provding necessary documents for verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Yes, Uttarkhand domicile students are eligible for 25% scholarship on the tuition fee per semester of MBA in UPES Knowledge Acres campus. They have to submit Domicile Certificate/ Sthai/ Mool/ Adhiwas Niwas Praman Patra at the time of admission.

Conditions for merit (Graduation/ Entrance exam score) based scholarships for MBA in UPES Kandoli Knowledge Acres campus are as follows:

• Total number of seats for this scholarship is upto 100-125. This scholarship is awarded strictly on first-cum-first-served basis subject to eligibility.
• It is applicable for 1st year tuition fee only.
• If a student is eligible for more than one scholarship, he/she will get the highest of the scholarship offered but not both.

Students having the following scores in National entrance exams for MBA admission are exempted from UPES MET and are called only for interview if they qualify:

• Score of 400 or above for GMAT
• Score of 120 and above in NMAT
• Minimum eligible MAT /CMAT score of 70 Percentile
• Valid 50 percentile and above score of CAT/ XAT
