Strong academics and placements with a fun, engaging campus life.
Placements: Batch & Course Details: B.Teach in computer science and engineering (Batch of 2021-2025). The placement percentage - 87% of students were placed through campus recruitment. The highest Package is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 6.8 LPA. The top recruiting company is Infosys.
Infrastructure: The college has good food and good facilities. The classrooms were clean and Wi-Fi enabled, with well-equipped labs and access to a good library. Hostel rooms were decent and regularly maintained. Mess food was average but hygienic. Sports facilities and basic medical care were available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective domains. Most of them used practical teaching methods, making it easier to understand core concepts. The curriculum is up-to-date with industry standards and includes emerging technologies. Regular project work, presentations, and practical labs help students become job-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with an overall pass percentage of around 85-90%.
Other: I chose Computer Science because of my passion for technology and coding. The best thing about the course was the continuous project exposure and placement preparation. Some areas of improvement could be more industry tie-ups, frequent internships, and soft skills training. The annual fest, hackathons, and coding marathons were major highlights. Scholarships were provided based on academic merit and financial need.

College gives many facilities and there are good and friendly faculty members.
Placements: Overall, in engineering, around 85% of students were placed in many companies. 12 LPA was the highest package and 5 LPA was the lowest package offered for our course. Companies like SAP, DeltaX, UniCourt, SignDesk, Streebo, LinkEZ, Winman, OPSEC, etc., were the top recruiting companies. Top roles like SWE will be offered.
Infrastructure: College provides a bandwidth of 500 Mbps Wi-Fi connection, well-equipped laboratories, classrooms and a well-organized library. They give information about scholarships. Transport facilities are given; it has a good source of power supply. Hostel food can be adjustable. The college campus has its own canteen. There are good achievements in sports.
Faculty: Faculty members have more than 4-10 years of experience in the engineering field. The course curriculum is relevant. It gives placement training and aptitude knowledge. Exams are not that difficult, as papers will be from VTU. Almost everyone can clear exams. The pass percentage will be around 94%.
Other: Events and fests will be conducted often by seniors, and some events will be conducted by faculty members on days such as Mathematics Day, Science Day, etc. There are many clubs which teach soft skills, tech knowledge, social behavior, etc.

Review of VCET - Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placements and all are average compared to other colleges. In my batch, around 50% of students got placed in companies. The highest package offered in our college is 15 LPA in the electronics batch company, and 1 student got placed in that company. The average package offered by the company visiting our college is 3 LPA. Companies like HP, Unicourt, Cadence, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro are the top recruiting companies of our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. Classrooms and areas do not have AC. Every room has CCTV cameras. Wi-Fi availability is only inside the labs, and we have to register to get Wi-Fi for our laptops. Regarding the facilities of the hostel, we will get vegetarian food. The quality of the food is average. We will get college Wi-Fi in the hostel hall only.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and they help us to reach higher standards. They will help us pass all exams. The course curriculum is average. I don't think it will help us become industry-ready. The term exams and final semester exams are easy to pass marks.
Other: The best thing about the course is that it has future scope.

Strong curriculum with great placements and vibrant campus life.
Placements: I am from the 2024 batch of Computer Science and Engineering. Around 85% of students are placed, with the highest salary package offered being 12 LPA. And the average salary package offered being 5 LPA. And the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiters included Capgemini, Infosys, and TCS. About 75% of students secured internships, with roles such as Software Developer.
Infrastructure: Our course has excellent infrastructure, with Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities are comfortable with good medical support. The mess and canteen offer decent food, and sports facilities are great for recreation.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful, and well-qualified, with teaching quality rated four out of five. The curriculum is industry-relevant and prepares students well. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a high pass percentage of around 85%-90%.
Other: I chose this course to build a strong foundation in software development and pursue a career in IT. The best aspects are practical learning, experienced faculty, and an industry-oriented curriculum. However, I wish for more hands-on projects and improved internship opportunities. Our campus hosts vibrant events, tech fests, and extracurricular activities, fostering a lively and collaborative environment. Connectivity is excellent, and the surroundings are serene, enhancing the learning experience. Scholarships are offered based on merit, making education accessible to many students.

    Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: In our college, the placement department is very dedicated. Almost 85% of students in our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The top recruiting company is SAP. The college offered tech-related jobs like software development, testing, and other related roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It has a good environment where we connect to the college spiritually. Wi-Fi and lab facilities are available. There are different canteens for different branches.
Faculty: Teaching wise the college has the best teachers. They give us clear-cut exposure to all concepts. Semester-wise exams get a bit heavier since engineering has a lot of the syllabus. Teachers here not only concentrate on the syllabus, but they also make sure that we learn aspects from the outside world.
Other: The college conducts a lot of cultural programmes. It also celebrates all festivals in the college. It conducts a fresher's day, farewell, college day, etc.

I am not satisfied with campus placements in 2022.
Placements: No companies visit our college for campus recruitment. We are being forced to apply to companies that advertise their offers on WhatsApp and other places. Some local companies recruit us only due to the efforts of some lecturers. The college only focuses on finding jobs for IT students.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average. The Wi-Fi is kind of unusable. Labs are good and contain all the necessary equipment. Classrooms are not well maintained. The projectors are not good, and no one even cares to align them properly. The library is good and contains all sorts of books for reference. There are no medical facilities in the college, and the mess is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are good. The quality of teaching is also excellent. Teachers can't do anything to make us industry-ready because the syllabus doesn't have anything useful in it. Most of the topics don't have any relation to the real world, and it cannot be blamed on teachers. They teach us what they can at a given time. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage is between 60% and 70%.
