Good platform for students who want to pursue a degree, and the teaching is good.
Placements: 70% of students were placed in ECE. .4 LPA is the average package offered in this course. Zoho, Sifi, Hexaware, and Accenture are the top companies for this course. 50% of students got internships from your course, Software roles, DevOps, and graduate trainee.
Infrastructure: In our ECE department, there are many facilities like microprocessor and microcontroller lab, VLSI lab, network lab, digital signal processing lab, digital electronics lab and optical lab. Quality of food is medium, and the sports and games support is not enough.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. This course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make one industry ready. The first four semesters are quite tough, and the other four are easy to clear. The pass percentage must be at least fifty percent.
Other: I chose this course because I have good learning motto.

In our college, they treat us like school student.
Placements: 80% of students are placed with high packages at Amazon. We got internships in Bangalore at a global company working with about 15 AI tools. The top roles offered are data analyst/data scientist, software engineer, and AI engineer. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro, TCS, etc. In our batch, no one was placed as we are the first batch, and this course started newly in 2024.
Infrastructure: Everything is okay, but in the lab, some systems are not in working condition. Wi-Fi is the worst, and there is no tower or signal. The library is okay, and all the books are available. Medical facilities are better. Once we are injured, they immediately call an ambulance and take us to Velammal Medical College at low fees.
Faculty: All the faculty members teach good and are easily understandable. But in the semester, they ask some out-of-syllabus questions and then say, we taught you, you just didn’t listen. The pass percentage is above 40, and internal marks and assignment marks are very important.
Other: I found that my course will be interesting with bots and models, and it is the future. Improving more bots will help reduce human work.

A good college for placements but the worst nightmare for students.
Placements: There are still no placements for us, as we are the first batch in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. But, students from other departments get placements from companies like Aptean Technologies, Cognizant, and 30+ other companies. So, the placement offers are good, and students are getting placed.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi facility for our faculty members and the department, and it is used by the faculty members. We also have a lab to work in, and a few systems are high-end. The food quality in the hostel is the worst, many of my friends get sick from it. It takes some time to adapt, and rooms are average.
Faculty: Teachers are new, and they are learning with us. They are trying their best to teach, and we are also learning with their help. The course is good, and we learn about training AI models. To pass the semester exams, we need to study the required material, and we can pass. The pass percentage is at least 90.
Other: I chose this course mainly to learn about Artificial Intelligence, and we are learning it now. It would be better if it are more practical instead of theoretical, but there are still many things to learn about AI. There are no festivals, and events happen very rarely. We get one cultural event per year, and that too lasts only for 4 hours.

Placements: This college has every year total 60% of students to provide placements. A large number of students are available in this course. Internships are also offered. The average salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA - 27 LPA. However, this company does not offer any roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure quality is very good. Many facilities such as lab, bathroom, classrooms, drinking water machines, garden, canteen, hostel, etc., are available. In this college, canteen facilities are very good and tasty food is provided.
Faculty: In this course, curriculum is very good. This college staff and teachers behavior is nice. Teaching quality is also good. This course is total 1 to 2 years master's degree course and 2 semester exams. Exams are very difficult to clear because 40% required to pass.

MBA from the Velammal College of engineering and technology.
Placements: Approximately 45–50% of the MBA students get placements at this institute. Our college placement cell organizes various on-campus placement drives. 12 LPA was the highest, 3 LPA was the lowest and 4-6 LPA was the average package offered in our course. Various management and consulting services firms visit our college for the placements.
Infrastructure: This institute has a decent infrastructure for the MBA course. The facilities of our college were good enough. All the necessary facilities, such as labs, libraries, canteens, Wi-Fi, etc., were given to the students. The hostel was available their for the students. The nearest bus stand was within walkable distance.
Faculty: The faculty of this institute was highly experienced and knowledgeable in the MBA course. All the teachers are trained and well qualified. The quality of teaching they offer is also good. The course curriculum followed by this college is the latest and makes students industry-ready. Exams were really hard to pass.

Velammal College of Engineering and Technology Canpus Review.
Placements: Students with 80% of marks in 12th board or management with a donation of ?4 lakh. The highest package offered was 20 LPA, the lowest package offered was 3 LPA, and the average package offered was 5-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Zoho, TCS, HCL, and Accenture recruit students. Internships will not be provided by the college. Core roles are very rare; mostly students are placed in the IT sector.
Infrastructure: The facilities are quite perfect for the requirements of the course. The whole college is designed as a single block which contains all departments. Canteen food is average. Hostel food is actually good. Hostel facilities are nice and good. Sports and games are available, but support won't be provided by the management.
Faculty: The teachers are very professional. They are better and different from school teachers. Teachers are very helpful and approachable anytime. The lessons of the 1st year are basic; core subjects begin from the 2nd year. Semester exams are not so tough. The pass percentage is 87%.
Other: ECE is the most in-demand course in the engineering field currently. ECE students explore both electronics and communication fields. It is an advantage in placements. It would be better if it had practical coaching. Events are very rare.

Velammal College of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
