Key tips and tricks to crack JEE
- Learn concepts and formulae frequently
- Prepare short notes of each topic during preparation
- Refer to NCERT books
- Identify and work on weak subjects
- Write mock tests to strengthen your preparation and analyse the performance
- Practise previous year papers to enhance confidence
- Read the question carefully during the exam
- Formulate a schedule and adhere to it
- Understand the syllabus and the exam pattern completely
- Prepare according to the timing and the environment of the exam
- Prioritise the sections as per the difficulty level and decide the same in advance
- Take proper sleep to relax

Focus on all three subjects. During preparation, work on both the strengths as well as the weak areas to ensure that each topic is covered.
Understanding the concepts is the base for any competitive exam as this would help in enhancing accuracy during the exam. In case, any concept is not clear, do not hesitate in taking help from teachers and seniors. All the questions in JEE Main are out of the box, some questions involve multiple concepts and if the concepts are not clear then this would result in wastage of time during the exam. Hence, understanding the basics and clarifying doubts are crucial to prepare for any competitive exam.
Practising questions daily is the key to achieve success in this exam.
A three-step solution:
Step 1: Covering the Syllabus
The syllabus of JEE is extensive. Hence, the students should know the syllabus to cover each topic. Always remember, the better you understand the topics, the higher is the possibility to score well.
Step 2: Revision
After completing the syllabus, the student needs to revise every topic thoroughly. Before starting a new chapter, revise the chapter completed to get a firm grip on the topic. This would also help in completing the revision of the syllabus easily and in an organised manner.
Step 3: Attempting Questions
Practise as many previous year question papers as possible and try to complete each paper within the time frame.
The students should stay away from all the distractions like social media, TV, and so on to secure high marks in the exams.
