Ace the GATE 2022 exam with these tips
One should maintain a healthy lifestyle to reduce stress, anxiety, exam fever, etc. and enhance the concentration level during the preparation for competitive exams.
Formulae and Notes: To prepare for GATE 2022, students should not rely on too many resources as reading from multiple sources might result in confusion and stress. They must stick to their notes and highlights. Revise the important formulae and points once every day, so that one would have them on their tips during the final exam.
Numerical value-based questions: During the paper, the candidates should try and attempt the numerical answer value-based questions as there is no negative marking for the same in the GATE exam.
Maintain a healthy lifestyle: Most candidates neglect keeping a healthy diet and timely sleep pattern during the exam. They should always keep in mind that it is crucial to enhance the concentration level during the exam and couldn’t be achieved in a single day. The candidates should keep their lifestyle healthy by eating proper food rich in nutrients and sleep for at least seven to eight hours a day to reduce stress and anxiety during the exam.
Mock tests are a must: Take a full mock test daily, analyse the same, identify your weaknesses and strengths, and work on them first. Effective time management is very important for success in such competitive exams like GATE, therefore, practising mock tests regularly would also help in enhancing speed and accuracy.
Stick to the topics studied: After studying a considerable portion of the syllabus, then avoid starting any new topics a few weeks before the exam. In case, any important topic is left, then just read the formulae of that topic as learning a lot at the last moment could affect the revision.
Keep the exam day strategies ready: The candidates should have a clear understanding of the number of questions to be attempted to secure a desired score. The GATE exam also has negative marking, so, attempting questions randomly isn’t an effective idea. The candidate must follow strategies like what type of questions to be attempted first, the time limit to solve a specific question, etc. could be helpful during the exam. The candidates should have the ability to change their strategies during the exam as per the question paper, as the exam could be full of surprises. There is no sectional time limit so candidates should first attempt the section they are confident about and the time for other sections could be managed accordingly.
