Exam prep Q-tiyapa style: 24 hours before the exam
“Oh Lord! Show some miracle! Make me pass this exam and I promise from next time onwards, I will study each topic as soon as it is taught in class.”
This prayer is made by almost every person in his/her student life. We all know that we need to be regular in studies and make a time-table for it and more importantly follow it. But, somehow we remember this only when we are trying to cram up all our subjects just a day before the exam.
Let’s first of all get you aquainted with a very important ingredient in exam preparation called notes. Yes, they are usually made of white paper and have text scribbled on it. Students often try to persuade and sometimes even threaten the class regulars/toppers to hand over their yearlong hardwork to them at the semester end so that they are able to pass the exams. But the point is that all this effort goes behind securing a pass percentage, when in half this effort and dedication one could easily top the exams.
We came across some funtabulous videos made by The Viral Fever Media Labs which are a true story as far as a student's life is concerned.
So, here’s a look into the lives of students one day before the exam – for those of you who are through with their studies this is a recap of how your life used to be and for those who are to give any exam in the upcoming exam season brace yourself because this is your future.
Tips in time management
Every one of us needs to take a short course on optimal utilization of our time because that is one aspect we usually mismanage during exam time.
Notes…from whom can I get notes
A major part of the exam prep is focused around searching, short listing and zeroing on the person from whom we can get all the semester notes.
Priceless notes, where art thou?
When we somehow misplace our prized possessions – our notes, we tend to spend whatever little time we have before exams in searching for them, leaving us even lesser time to prepare. But, what can we do – Notes hain toh life hai!
Exam is tomorrow morning: No notes, no preparation what to do?
This is the time to make the most difficult decision in life and every student would vouch for that. The only choices left here are either to simply bow down and accept a red mark on the report card or to fake a disease which is sure to keep you unwell for at least a day. There is another option as well, but for that you will have to keep that eye out to study the perfect seating arrangement, if you know what we mean.
So, our word of advice here is that, do not be a maggu and do not be a ‘notes addict’ as well. It takes a lot less energy and effort to just be regular in your studies and it would even save you from becoming an anxiety prone heart patient, trust us. Exam time is right round the corner, let’s just study with full concentration and leave all this exam prep qtiyapa aside, for the time being at least!
