The application process for BITSAT 2015 has commenced. Here is a step by step guide to help you apply for the exam smoothly.

BITSAT 2015 notification got released recently. According to the official website, the exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 14 - May 29, 2015. The registrations for the exam too have commenced online. Please note that the last date to apply for BITSAT 2015 is February 20, 2015.

This national level exam is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for admissions to the BE, Pharma and MSc programmes offered at three of the BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

This 3-hour long exam is spread across four sections/subjects which encompasses multiple choice questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics/Biology.

The application process for BITSAT 2015 is completely online and students are not required to send any document by post. Here is a step by step guide to help you apply for the exam easily:

  • To start with, you need to carefully read the brochure for eligibility conditions and other details. Students can either download a copy of the brochure (pdf format) or read it online on the official website.
  • After you have read all the instructions on this page, you need to hit the " Allow me to apply button" at the end of the page.
  • Soon after that, you would land on this page where you would have to enter details like Full name, Gender, Date Of Birth, Email-Id. You would also have to enter the captcha image displayed on the page while registering. After this, you need to proceed to the next step by hitting the "Proceed" button at the end.

  • And with that, you will land to this page where you will be required to enter more details like your parents' name, nationality, address, city etc.
  • Once you fill all the fields, you need to hit the submit button given at the end of the page.
  • After this, you will be directed to the payment page. Given below is a screen shot of the same.

  • Please note that once the data is entered and confirmed, students will not be allowed to make any changes to the same.

Registration fees:

For centers within India, the application fee for male candidates will be Rs.2090/- and for female candidates it will be Rs. 1590/-. However, for Dubai as a center, the application fee for both male and female candidates will be same and will be US$50 (or Rs.3100/- Indian Rupees).

Payment of fees:

Please note that once the application fee is paid, its non-refundable. Here are the ways you can pay the fee:

  • Credit cards and debit cards: Cards issued by Master and Visa will be accepted. Students need to use the online payment gateway to pay the registration fee.
  • Net Banking enabled accounts of Indian banks using Online Payment Gateway: The list of participating banks will be made available to you once you choose to pay through this mode.
  • Cash payment at all ICICI Bank branches in India along with a specially generated Pay-in Slip: To pay through Cash at ICICI Bank branches, you need to download the specially designed Pay-in-slip from the website on the payments page and walk-into any ICICI bank branch along with cash. The bank shall deposit cash and give you a confirmation receipt for the same.
