Now, the participants will get up to three attempts to take qualifying tests, one each in November, December and January.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has extended the registration date for a cybersecurity hackathon called HCL Hack IITK, which is open to students and professionalsafter several requests from participants. As per the official website of the institute, IIT Kanpur decided to change the timeline of the competition dates after several participants requested that most institutes and universities were holding their end-semester exams between November 15, 2021, and December 24, 2021, making it difficult for them to participate.

Now, the participants will get up to three attempts to take qualifying tests, one each in November, December and January. Best of the three scores will be considered for qualifying. The first test will be held on November 28, 2021, second on December 19, 2021, and the third test will be conducted on January 9, 2022.

The cybersecurity hackathon is a team event and each team can have two or three members. A single person will not be allowed to participate in the hackathon. Teams must designate a team leader who will get the team registered with correct names and email addresses. The team leader will also have to take multiple choice question qualifying exams during the qualifying round. All submitted names should match the names in the photo ID’s that will be asked for during challenge rounds.
