JEE Advanced 2016 online application ends today, check process
The last date to apply for JEE Advanced 2016 is May 4, 2016, according to the official website of the exam. The online applications for the exam commenced on April 29, 2016.

JEE Main 2016 results were announced on April 27, 2016 on the official website of CBSE. Please note that the cut off to appear for JEE Advanced 2016 is 100 for general category students, and 70, 52, and 48 for OBC-NCL, SC, and ST respectively. Also, out of 12.07 lakh candidates who registered for JEE Main exam this year, only 1,54,032 candidates have been able to qualify for the JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced 2016 Registration Process:
First and foremost, to register for JEE Advanced 2016, aspirants need to fulfill all the eligibility criterias mentioned here. Please note that the registration will be cancelled if, at a later date, it is found that the candidate does not meet any of eligibility criteria mentioned above.
Aspirants need to register for the exam on - www.jeeadv.ac.in.
JEE Advanced 2016 registration process is spread over three basic steps:
Step 1: Fill Registration form
- Candidates needs to login using his/her Roll Number of JEE (Main), Password created during JEE (Main) registration and security pin.
- After login, applicants will be required to provide the basic data including the choice of the language of question paper (English or Hindi) and the choices of the cities for the examination.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Certificates
1. Candidates needs to upload the scanned certificates of Class X or DOB proof, Class XII (or equivalent) examination, Category, PwD,Scribe Request Letter,PIO Card / OCI Certificate,DS certificate, in JPG/JPEG format.
- Please note that the size of certificate image must be greater than 50 KB and less than 300 KB.
Step 3: Payment of registration fee
1. SBI Debit Card/Internet Banking: To make a payment through SBI Debit Card or Net Banking, candidate has to click “Pay Registration Fee.” The system will automatically take the user to State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. Thereafter, candidates can select any of the available options like SBI Debit Card/Internet Banking to make the payment. Once the payment is sone, candidate will be able to print the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.
2. Payment by CASH using SBI Branch Option: Here, candidate needs to click “Pay Registration Fee”, and the system will automatically redirect the user to State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. At the time of cash payment, candidate is required to select “SBI Branch” and system will generate the challan. Candidate can now take a printout of the system generated challan to take it to the SBI branch for cash payment. Once the payment is done, candidates are required to visit this webpage again to download the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.
3. Payment for DUBAI Exam Centre: Candidates who want to select DUBAI as the examination city are required to pay the registration fee of US $ 220 through International Debit/Credit Card issued by Foreign Banks and issued outside India. Please note that Payment in US$ is not allowed through Debit/Credit Cards issued in India. Once the registration is done, candidates will be able to print the “Registration Details” with UNIQUE Registration Number.

JEE Main 2016 topper profiles!
Documents required for JEE Advanced 2016 registration:
All candidates:
- Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it OR birth certificate.
- Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2015).
- If the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification showing the change of name.
Candidates seeking admission under the OBC-NCL category
- OBC-NCL certificate (FORM-OBC-NCL) issued on or after June 1, 2015 and conforming to the latest guidelines of the Government of India. Visit www.ncbc.nic.in for latest guidelines and updates of the Central List of State-wise OBCs.
Candidates seeking admission under the SC or ST category
- Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate
Candidates seeking admission under the PwD category
- Disability certificate issued by a district medical board / competent authority. Dyslexic candidate needs to submit FORM-DYSLEXIC instead of FORM-PwD

Candidates needing the services of a scribe
- The services of a scribe (amanuensis) are available to candidates who are visually impaired, dyslexic, have disability in the upper limbs or have lost fingers / hands thereby preventing them from bubbling the optical response sheet (ORS).
- To avail of this benefit, the candidate should request the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016, of the respective zonal IIT in the prescribed format (FORM-SCRIBE). The requisition, along with a copy of the PwD certificate ( FORM-PwD[II/III/IV, whichever is applicable]) OR a copy of the certificate of Dyslexic candidate ( FORM-DYSLEXIC ), whichever is applicable, should be uploaded at the time of online registration for JEE (Advanced) 2016. The formats for the request letter and PwD/Dyslexic certificate are given here .
- Zonal IITs will make arrangements, through the Presiding Officer (PO) of the Examination Center, to provide a panel of scribes (amanuenses). Scribes will be students of Class XI from the science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects. The PwD/dyslexic candidate has to choose a scribe from this panel. The candidates will NOT be allowed to bring their own scribes.
- The candidate will be allowed to meet the scribe one day prior to the examination i.e., on Saturday, 21 May 2016, in the presence of the IIT Representatives (IRs), Presiding Officer (PO) and an Invigilator.
- If it is found that a candidate has used the services of a scribe, and consequently one extra hour, but does not possess the extent of disability that warrants the use of a scribe, he/she will be excluded from the process of evaluation, ranking and admission. If the candidate has already been admitted, his/her admission will be cancelled.
