Anshul from Indirapuram who was quite confident about his preparation said, “I have friends who took the offline exam. They said, Physics was the toughest and Mathematics was average.  I hope the difficulty level of the online exam is similar too. I am confident about my preparation but I will not deny the fact that one should always be ready for unexpected questions. Just hoping for the best”.

Sharing his reasons for opting for the online version of JEE Main 2015, he said, “See, what I believe is that CBSE will not be unfair to the students taking the online exam.  How can you compare students if you give them the test with two difficulty levels? I am sure the difficulty level of the exam will be the same. I chose the online exam because you get seven more days to prepare and that’s not at all bad”.

Another student from Delhi who also is a medical aspirant taking AIPMT this year, said, “I am very nervous as I am not at all confident about my preparation”.

Talking about his idea of choosing the online version of JEE Main 2015, he said, “I opted for the online version because my friends were taking it too. We studied together, so applied for the exam together”.

Mayank from Ghaziabad believed that the exam is really going to be tough. He said, “I am expecting the exam to be tough this time considering that this year, the board exams were tough too.  I am also taking VITEEE this time and as compared to that, this one gonna be really tough”.

“You know, I wanted to take the offline exam but couldn’t do it. I messed up my application form and there was some probkems with it. I tried changing my option, it was not accepting. Infact, my application was accepted on the last application day. I really wanted to opt for the pen and paper exam.”

After the exam:

Students coming out of the examination hall gave mixed reactions to the exam.

Aachman, a JEE Main 2015 online exam aspirant said, “The paper was good. The Maths exam was difficult but the rest of the other two sections were comparatively easier. However, I solved 74 questions out of 90.”

Another student, Kunal Sharma who was giving a second attempt at this exam,” The exam was quite easy this year as compared to last year. However, I found Maths to be the toughest. I don’t why CBSE is doing this. I applied for improvement in Maths this year but that was difficult too. In my opinion, Chemistry was the easiest”.

Talking about why he opted for the online exam, he said, “While filling the offline paper, you really need to careful. I have faced difficulty with that. Even if you make the slightest mistake, your paper gets cancelled. You know, even if you make a 1 into 2, they do not accept the paper and you get disqualified".

Aman who came all the way from Meerut to take the exam looked quite disheartened. Sharing his views with us, he said, “I applied for the online exam hearing that it’s easier than the offline exam. However, I found the online version to be way tougher that the pen and paper based exam. My hopes are pretty low. I had come with a high morale but I am going back really tensed. I am not all happy with the paper”.

Aman believed that Chemistry was the easiest section out of all the three sections. He said, “Chemistry was the easiest. Physics was quite tough and there was no question which was direct. As in there were no theory based questions. Every question required large amount of applications”.

According to students, there were no glitches in the exam as such and the exam went quite smoothly without any technical, errors.
