JEE Main and BITSAT are conducted annually to provide BTech admission opportunities to engineering aspirants. While JEE Main is a gateway for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, BITSAT scores will make the aspirants eligible for admission into BITS campuses. Both exams are extremely competitive and engineering aspirants often opt to attempt both these entrance examinations for a higher chance of admission into good Engineering colleges. JEE Main Vs BITSAT Exam: The number of engineering aspirants is on the rise and the preference for admission into prestigious colleges follows the same trend. Since the need for admissions into the recognized BTech/BE institutes is growing, the students are seen to attempt tough competitive entrance examinations. While JEE Main is the most popular national level entrance exam, BITSAT is often chosen by students for admission into one of the private campuses. Through JEE Main, the students will be eligible for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Meanwhile, BITSAT offers admissions into one of the four campuses - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. 

Most of the students who attempt one of these exams, do attempt the other, so the comparisons are often made in terms of difficulty level, pattern and syllabus. JEE Main Vs BITSAT: Which Exam Is More Difficult?

One of the questions that engineering aspirants frequently ask is whether JEE Main is more difficult than BITSAT, or vice versa. Both of these exams are popular choices to study in good institutes in our country and hence, the difficulty level is expected to be high.

JEE Main Vs BITSAT Exam Pattern

JEE Main and BITSAT are both held online, i.e., they are computer-based examinations. Held in various states of the country, BITSAT and JEE Main have several students who attempt both examinations. Therefore, it is quite important to understand the pattern between the two exams before attempting them.

JEE Main Vs BITSAT Syllabus

The official syllabus of JEE Main and BITSAT will be similar to the 10th and 12th standard syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The examination is conducted to assess the candidate's knowledge and aptitude of the subjects. To be well-prepared for the exam, the candidates are advised to check the official syllabus of JEE Main and BITSAT. There is a higher chance that candidates who are well-prepared for JEE Main will be ready for the BITSAT paper too. However, the BITSAT candidates will be required to study the same material with more focus on the concepts for the JEE Main paper.

Which Topics in the BITSAT Syllabus are NOT Available in the JEE Main Syllabus?

Other than Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, BITSAT also has an additional section on English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. This section has been added to understand the candidate’s English proficiency and also their reasoning skills.
