JEE Prep: How to get maximum results from your preparation?
JEE Main exam began on April 6. JEE aspirants are nervous, excited and anxious at the same time. One question bothers one and all – Have I covered all the topics? Is my preparation good enough to get me through the exam? Experts say that JEE is not an exam that is just about solving problems, it is about choosing the correct questions and doing better time management.
In fact, with your current preparation level, your rank is nearly decided! You can’t do much by pushing the panic button now. So, it’s advisable to not attempt to strengthen your weak points or start a new topic at this stage.
In this edition of JEE Prep Podcast Series, askIITians expert Yash Baheti offers valuable tips on how to stay relaxed, focus better, and whether to work on strengths or try to cover the weak areas, if not already done by now.
He offers expert strategy on dealing with the JEE test paper. He suggests, your test performance does not depend as to which subject you start with. You can start with Physics, Chemistry or Maths, but the start that you make is very important – make a good, positive start.
One of the biggest mistakes a students can do is to “make any question a matter of pride,” warns Baheti. If you are able to do that question in just one go then attempt it otherwise leave it and come back to it afterwards when you have time. Remember your aim is to score high. It doesn’t matter in which section you scored.
