Mystory@Jay Patel: How I prepared for my competitive exams
I was an average student at school. I used to get around 60% marks in exams from 5th standard to 10th preliminary exams. But in my 10th board exams I got 79% as I laid emphasis on understanding the topics and theory part of the subject and thereafter I used to write the answers in my language not the way it was written in books and this helped me get good results in exams. I used to study with instrumental music (which kept my mood fresh) and this helped me in remembering the topics.
I used to play cricket in the evening after giving my board exam paper just to refresh my mood because I think that if you are not in the mood to study and you pressurise yourself to study then this is of no meaning as you will not be able to retain anything. So, keeping this thought in mind I used to play games and watched TV when I was not in the mood to study.
Further, I succeeded in 12th board exam also by implementing this study pattern and thus, secured 75.6% in 12th board exams. A special note of thanks to my parents who supported me in allowing me to study in this way.
