This will provide free and compulsory education to children aged 6-14. The bill will be followed by the notification of the 86th Constitutional Amendment in the official gazette. Insurance Cover For Research Scholars In Rajasthan

The Rajasthan University will cover its research scholars under the Group Accidental Insurance   Scheme from 2009-10 academic session. Till date, regular students of Post Graduate departments and college affiliated to the varsity were covered under the scheme. The Union Cabinet has approved the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill 2005. This will provide free and compulsory education to children aged 6-14. The bill will be followed by the notification of the 86th Constitutional Amendment in the official gazette. The Education Bill also seeks to reserve 25 per cent of the seats for children of weaker sections from the neighbourhood and the government will bear the cost of education of these poor children.
