As per statistics released by NTA, this time in second session of JEE Main 2024 total number of registered candidates stands at 99,086. Q:   Is a domicile Certificate required for admission to NITs?

Yes, candidates are required to submit proof of domicile in case availing the home-state quota in NITs. It is only NIT where admission is offered against the Home State quota.

Candidates home state is determined based on the state from which you appear for your 12th board exam and on the basis of the state to which you belong. 

Q:   Will IIT seats increase in 2025?
A:

Did you know there has been a big jump in number of BTech seats available at the IITs? They added 400 new seats across all 23 IITs bringing total for 2025 to a huge 18,160. This is a solid increase from the 17,760 seats available in 2024 and even more than the 17,385 in 2023.
