To help you prepare better in the last few days of JEE Advanced 2015, here are 10 tips to crack JEE Advanced 2015:

  1. Whatever little time is left, plan a time table for total quick revision devoting equal time to all the three subjects. Journey is safe when all tyres of vehicle are inflated to correct pressure.
  2. Go through the steps followed from your notes while solving tricky / multiconcept problems but do not take up any new problems.
  3. Check your progress by undertaking mock test every day in real time environment following as far as possible same timings as in actual examination. Analyse the result, attend on your weak points & increase your speed and accuracy progressively.
  4. Sleep for minimum 6 hours in the night, avoiding sleeping during day time. Eat healthy nourishing meals. Drink water at regular intervals. Don’t eat heavy dinner. Include time for morning exercise / pranayama and small breaks of relaxation and recreation / favourite hobbies.
  5. Have faith in yourself and be confident of harnessing the examination temperament built during your focussed preparation.
  6. Read and follow the instructions given in the question papers very carefully. Work out a strategy in mind while solving the paper(s).
  7. For each of the two three hour papers don’t spend more than 45 minutes on any single subject in first attempt. Prioritise the order of attempting the subjects after initial careful reading of paper. Come back to the three subjects in the last 45 minutes to crack some of the left-over questions conceptually with reasoning/logical guess and for revision.
  8. Do not lose confidence if you find the paper difficult at the first glance. It is always relative performance which counts in such highly competitive examination. Hence try to do your best.
  9. Do not attempt black box type questions (carrying negative marks) of which you have no idea however you must attempt questions carrying no negative marks, since you do not lose any marks for wrong answer but correctly answered, such questions can get you additional marks.
  10. If you are not able to solve some question having tried for about 1 to  minutes, don’t make I a prestige issue. Leave that question and go to next question. You may decide to take up this question in second attempt.
