Two more schools join CQ
Two more schools were added to the list of Career Quotient partner schools last week. Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan and Ashok Memorial School, Faridabad were the institutions which made it to the last leg of the first phase of HT Horizons Career Quotient 2009.
Response in Army Public School was overwhelming where students of all senior classes — from ninth to twelfth — participated. There were
around 750 students from this school while the number was around 300 in Ashok Memorial.
Following the set pattern of exam, students answered 71 multiple-choice questions in around 40 minutes. The questions aim to test their career aptitude by making them focus on their subjects of choice.
After around three weeks, they will be given the results, which would offer them a guideline to determine the course of action pertaining to the choice of their career.
“It (Career Quotient) was a complete package to test the students’ personality and inclination towards different things in life,” says Meenakshi Varma, school counsellor, Army Public School.
“It will definitely help the students who can’t go for individual assessments of IQ, personality and career preferences but still want one test to assess their abilities. After the results, we will organise an interaction among students of Class X and professionals from almost all fields so that they can deliberate upon their choice of subjects,” she adds.
