VITEEE 2014: Last minute tips to ace the exam

• Work on your basics: VIT entrance exam covers the syllabus of State Board of Higher Secondary School along with the CBSE syllabus. If your foundations are strong, you can attempt all questions as the paper is not very tough. Cramming is a big NO.  
• Importance of sample papers: Referring the previous year papers of VITEEE is extremely important to know the trend of questions asked in the exam. Practice several mock tests as this aids in identifying the weak areas.   
• Key topics: The last few days are not meant for going through the books or reading some new topic. Focus on revising the important topics as these will fetch you maximum marks. some of the chief topics which must be revised include:

• Flash cards: This is the time to revisit your flash cards so as to revise all the important facts. They come handy in the last days as you don’t have sufficient time to go through the books again.  
• Tune in your clock: Some students are habitual of studying till late night. If you are also one of them, it’s time to tune in your clock. You must try to study during the day. If you sleep during the day and continue doing so, you are likely to feel lazy during the exam.
• Practice as much as you can: Practice is the only key to success. Solve as many questions as possible, depending on the availability of time. Make as many mistakes as you can in this phase. This is a fact that the mistakes you commit in this phase are not likely to be repeated.  
• Recreation: Spare some time for your family, friends and your favorite shows. Practice some sort of meditation or yoga as they help in reducing the stress levels. Fresh mind can grasp more and at a higher speed than a stressed mind. 
• Speed and time management: almost all the aspirants try their level best to get through this elite exam. Thus, the level of competition is high. It is only your speed that can give you an edge over others. Hence, work on your speed and you are likely to beat your competitors.
