WBJEE 2016 Syllabus & Pattern

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has declared the WBJEE 2016 exam date and the same is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2016 between 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Candidates can apply for the exam between January 5 to February 29, 2016 and seek admissions into various undergraduate level engineering and medical courses in West Bengal. Students can download and submit WBJEE 2016 application form from the official website of WBJEEB.

WBJEEB has already declared the WBJEE 2016 syllabus and pattern to help candidates know the type of questions that would come in exam, its marking scheme, and the duration of exam etc.

WBJEE 2016 exam paper will be divided into four categories this year i.e. Biological Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, where each section will contain 100 marks except Biological Science, which will be of 150 marks. Take a look at WBJEE 2016 syllabus below.

WBJEEB has also released WBJEE 2016 exam pattern, which is as follows:

WBJEE 2016 Exam Pattern:

  • All questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against every questions.
  • Answers to each questions has to be marked on the OMR sheet

WBJEE 2016 Question paper will be divided into three categories, check the following table for better understanding:

According to the information published on the official website of WBJEEB, the WBJEE 2016 exam timing is different for each subject. The Biological Science paper will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am, while the Physics & Chemistry paper will be conducted from 12:45 pm to 2:45 pm. The last paper will be of Mathematics, which is scheduled from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Only the Biological Science paper will last for 2 and half hours, rest will be of 2 hours each.
