Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat is recognised by the UGC. It is a part of the thirty NITs that has been recognised by the Indian Government due to their national importance. The NIT Surat also gives good placement offers to the students.

SOT PDEU offers postgraduate and undergraduate courses to students. These courses are provided across the Engineering and various other streams.
