GMRIT Deemed to be University offers courses at UG, PG and doctorate levels. To get admssion, students must meet the eligibility and selection requirement. The eligibility is to pass last qualifying exams. The final selection is done on the basis of scores of entrance exam. The exams accepted by the institute for admission are JEE, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, Andhra Pradesh ECET, GATE and Andhra Pradesh PGECET. Students can apply online at the official portal of relevant entrance exams and the university.

The admission process starts with the registration for AITAM and Andhra Pradesh ICET. After Andhra Pradesh ICET registration, a correction window is usually opened for students to make changes to their application. The Andhra Pradesh ICET exam is generally held in May, with results declared in the same month. Following this, the counselling process for seat allotment begins a around July. Once seats are allocated, the university conducts an orientation session. 

KL University accepts applications in both online and offline modes. Admission to all the courses is entrance exam-based, along with the performance of the candidates in the interview.
