NIRF 2025 Rankings - Top 10 Colleges in India
The Ministry of Education has published the list of top 100 colleges in India. The NIRF 2025 Rankings show top colleges in India that doing really well in study, research, and student growth. The Ministry of Education made this list to tell which colleges are best for higher education. Every college got checked on things like teaching, learning, research work, graduation results, inclusivity and perception. You can see how each one perform in different areas. Many Delhi colleges again stay on top this year, showing their strong education and good results. The NIRF Ranking 2025 helps you know which college is better for your future studies.

NIRF Ranking Parameters with Weightage for Top Colleges in India 2025
The Ministry of Education awards ranks to colleges and universities based on several parameters. These institutes under all categories are ranked based on five evaluation parameters – i) Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR); ii) Research and Professional Practice (RP); iii) Graduation Outcome (GO); iv) Outreach and Inclusivity (O&I) v) Perception (PR). Under each of these parameters, these institutes are scored out of 100. Each parameter has a certain weightage and institutions are evaluated out of a total score of 500. Given below are the NIRF ranking parameters along with the assigned weight for each parameter:

NIRF Ranks may help you judge colleges and make a choice. However, the NIRF college rank lists do not entirely ease your college-picking process. Check out these stream-wise lists of colleges to decide on the best college for you.
Madras Christian College is ranked under top 20 colleges by NIRF 2025. It is one of the eminent college which offers UG, PG and PhD programmes. MCC Chennai is ranked 6 under the BA category by the India Today 2025 and 16 under the Colleges category by the NIRF 2025.
For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 27730 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI].
