DST prescribes the list of documents which the applicants need to upload while filling out the INSPIRE Scholarship form. No, only the students who are enrolled in the Science courses like BSc or BS. Students who are going to take admission in Arts and commerce course are not eligible to apply for INSPIRE scholarship 2026.

No, INSPIRE Scholarship cannot be combined. Students cannot receive any other government scholarship along with the INSPIRE scholarship. Only one major scholarship is allowed at a time. If found, INSPIRE may be cancelled.

Yes, but students must renew it every year. They should pass the previous year exam to renew the INSPIRE Scholarship. Minimum required marks must be maintained. If conditions are not met, scholarship can stop.

The INSPIRE scholarship is only for basic Science courses. Students who get admission to courses based on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology are eleigible for scholarship. Engineering, Medical and Diploma courses are not included under the INSPIRE scholarship. The course must be approved by a recognised institute.

Selected students get ₹80,000 every year. ₹60,000 is for tuition and study needs. ₹20,000 is for research projects. The amount is paid directly to the bank accounts of the selected candidates.
