Manipal Academy of Higher Education is a private university that has been declared as an Institution of Excellence by the Government of India. It has also been accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade and is UGC recognised.

Admission to BTech MIT Manipal is based on a mandatory entrance test, i.e., Manipal Entrance Test MET followed by online/physical counselling sessions. This exam is conducted every year in 3 phases. Interested students need to qualify the exam with valid scores in order to get admission. The total fee for the BTech course ranges between  8.1 L & 13.5 L. In order to be eligible for the BTech course at Manipal Institute of Technology, students must have scored at least 45-50% aggregate in 12.

Presidency College is a private college founded in the year 2000. It is an integral institution of Presidency Group. The College is a known and famous B-School of the city and region. Affiliated to Bangalore University, it has received the status of an autonomous institute. Presidency College was initially started by offering two courses. It has also been accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC. Presidency College is recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE. Overall it is a good college offering a range of courses.

The college has not released the placement percentage. However, the number of students placed in UG and PG courses has been released. Out of 2,524 UG 3-year students 710 were placed during the Kristu Jayanti College placements 2024. Furthermore, 750 out of 830 PG 2-year students were placed.

The candidate needs to clear the SJUET conducted by the university. Post that, the candidate needs to clear the interview scheduled by the university.

 Apart from this, the candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in graduation in the respective stream, and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
