Yes the scope is vast but also very competitive. Considering the domain is slightly unconventional and new in the country. If you are looking forward to working in a job profile, you need to work on your portfolio, creativity & interview skills.
Make sure you showcase your drawing skills and have at least a beginner-level understanding of manufacturing such as casting, setting and stone identification in jewellery design.

The entrance exams for Jewelry Design courses are quite competitive, given the popularity of the course and the limited number of seats at top institutes. The competitiveness also depends on the particular exam that you're planning to appear for. You should put in a lot of effort, keep your preparation status streamlined, and lay more emphasis on the high-weightage exam topics and general aptitude to get excellent marks and rank and grab a seat at a top design institute.

The time required for the Jewellery Design entrance exams varies on the basis of the specific exam that you're preparing for. Ideally, it takes at least 6 months to fully prepare for the exam, cover all the important syllabus sections, practice last year' question papers and mock tests, and prepare a revision schedule. You should be on your toes when it comes to preparing for the entrance tests and cover high-marks-weightage sections on priority.
