Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject. 

The National Law School of India University Bangalore admissions depends on CLAT for its BA LLB and LLM courses. Students need to appear for the exam and go through the CLAT counselling rounds.

While admissions to the other courses requires students to appear for the in-house entrance exams including:

• NLSAT-MPP for LLM
• NLSAT-LLB for LLB
• NLSAT for PhD

After being shortlisted through the exam/ counselling process students need to visit the campus for document verification and seat confirmation.

The most popular course at MS Ramaiah College of Law is its BA LLB programme which is offered at the UG level for a duration that spans 5 years or 10 semesters. Some other popular courses at Ramaiah Law College includes their UG level BBA LLB and BCom LLB programmes.

Alliance University is considered as a Tier 2 university. It is a 1st private university in South India in Karnataka State by Act No. 34 and is recognised by the UGC. The university offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD courses through 10+ constitutent colleges across various streams like Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Design, and others.
