The window for CMAT September 2014 will open from September 25. Students are left with almost a week for preparation. One must utilise the most of this time.

Revise your concepts rather than learning new things. Work strategically. Working randomly might not help you score high. To score well you must stick to your plans. Learn to manage your time before exam and during exam. Time management is very important to work systematically.

Try to take CMAT 2014 systematically so as to crack it in one go. Be organised while attempting the test. 1. Solving test without reading the question paper is a bad idea. You must read the question paper first so that you are aware of the difficulty level of the test. 2. Choose your Best area: Start solving the exam from the section you are confident about. If you think you are strong in general awareness or logical reasoning, go with it. This will boost your confidence for the rest of the exam. Also, you can be sure of securing marks in questions you know.

3. Utilise full three hours: Most aspirants who take CMAT also take others MBA exams like MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. You get habitual of taking long exams in short period. Do not forget that you have full three hours for CMAT. You need not to go too fast for the test. You have 100 questions to knock down in 180 minutes. Justify your time for all questions. You can also devote lesser time to easy questions and more to the tougher ones.

4. Selection of questions: It is not necessary that you have to attempt all questions for a good score. If you think that you are unable to solve a question, you may leave it. It is better to leave a question rather than doing it wrong. If a question is taking time, you must skip on to the next question.

5. Section-wise division of time: The best thing about CMAT is you have no time lag. You can easily attempt questions and earn marks. Logical reasoning and general awareness are meant to be the easy. You can easily solve them in an hour. You must give half an hour to LR and GA and you are done with the section. Rest two hours can be divided between quant and data interpretation section and English section. Problems in these sections are bit tougher and lengthier. So, you can use larger part of your time for difficult sections.

6. Save time for Revision: It is recommended that you must revise your sheet before final submission. Devoting last 10 minutes for revision is a perfect idea. In this period you have the opportunity to rectify your mistakes. Thus, you can assure accuracy and analyse your score!

The six tips are just to help you with your planning. If you have a better plan, go with it. Do not forget to add one or two minute refreshment breaks in your time management schedule. After all you have to sit for a longer period.

Do not take stress. Rather you must cool down. You have another option with you. You can attempt CMAT February 2015. The better of the two scores will be used for your admissions.
