IBS Business School admission process decentralised
IBS Business School of the ICFAI group, which conducts IBSAT (IBS Admission Test) has introduced changes in its admission process this year.
Admission process for MBA programs at IBS:
- All the candidates have to write the entrance exam i.e. IBSAT or provide GMAT/CAT scores. The candidates who clear the exam will be called for the admission process.
- The admission process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
- The final selection is based on the performance in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the past academic record.
Changes introduced this year:
- The IBSAT exam was conducted online. It was a computer based test conducted at 100 test centers from Dec 15- Jan 06.
- The Selection Process is being decentralised. The Selection process will be conducted at all 9 IBS campuses.
IBS management programmes have predominantly case-based methodology along with 14 weeks of Summer Internship program. Besides offering technology-enabled learning, IBS equips the students with a learning management system that provides a fun filled learning experience.

There are no scholarships or fee concessions given for these programs.
The placements process for the current batch (2011-2013) is under progress and reportedly going on well. The placements at IBS Hyderabad have shown an upward trend in terms of profiles and average salary offered to students. Last year, IBS students got attractive offers in Banking and Financial Services, FMCG, Technology, Media, Research and Infrastructure spaces.
