Symbiosis School of Banking Management (SSBM) was established in June 2010, to address the growing demand for trained workforce in Banking and Financial Services Sector. SSBM produces professionals with a broad knowledge base, to effectively contribute in the Banking and Finance sector.
To achieve these objectives, SSBM plans to:
- To create an environment conducive to continuous research leading to creation of knowledge in the Banking and Finance sector.
- To offer programmes that will disseminate relevant knowledge and provide skills to function effectively in the challenging environment of the Banking sector.
Masters of Business Administration (Banking Management):
This course is a two year full time Post Graduate Degree course, with an intake of 50 students every year. Besides provide the finest education in functional areas of management, the program follows a rigorous curriculum that focus on specialized areas relevant to Banking and Financial Services Industry such as General Banking Operations, Credit Management, Legal Aspects of Banking, International Banking, Risk Management, Treasury Management, etc. The curriculum also blends classroom interaction and self study modules through rigorous research and experiential learning which will enhance the skills of creative inquiry, analysis and develops the thirst for continuous learning.
Eligibility and Admissions:
50% marks at the graduation level shall make the candidate eligible for admissions. A written test conducted by SNAP, followed by a Group Exercise and a Personal Interaction complete the selection procedure. Successful candidates will be given offer letters through emails.
Placements:
The biggest names in banking industry recruit at SSBM. Public sector banks (SBI, IDBI, BoI), private sector banks (ICICI, Axis, HDFC), foreign banks (HSBC, Deutsche) and other agencies like investment firms, financial consulting firms, are among the companies recruiting from SSBM.
