PG Diploma in Healthcare Management at GIM
Goa Institute of Management (GIM) recently launched a two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Management (PGDM – HCM). The program is at par with MBA and will be conducted at GIM's Ribandar campus.

| First year |
||
| The first year consists of a pre-course module and 3 trimesters. Each trimester in the first year will comprise five compulsory courses and the first year will provide a foundation in all areas of management and give exposure to different aspects of healthcare management. |

| Objective: To provide a strong education in the fundamentals of management as demonstrated in the GIM PGDM Program. The students will learn the fundamentals of business (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Marketing, Operations, OB/ HR, Production Management, and Systems) and also understand the fundamentals of healthcare through courses on The Integrated Healthcare System/ Structure, Hospital administration, Health economics, and other similar disciplines. |

It includes extensive exposure to functioning of the healthcare industry through a live first-hand experience of working closely with hospitals and healthcare institutions. One day every week will be devoted to students working in a private and government hospital to be able to see theory get implemented into practice. |

| Summer Internship |
Program participants will undergo an intensive 8-10 week industry summer internship wherein they will be able to see first-hand the principles and concepts they have learnt in the first year put into practice. |

| In the second year, students will deepen their understanding of the healthcare industry and will build on the fundamentals learnt in the first year. The second year will comprise of 9 core courses, 6 electives and a sectoral project wherein they study one of the healthcare domains such as hospitals, pharmaceuticals, health insurance, healthcare consulting etc. |
