Top 20 management colleges for placement on MHRD’s top 50 list for 2016

Every year thousands of MBA aspirants make an attempt to crack numerous management entrance exams like CAT, GMAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP etc. with an aim of making it to any of the top management colleges. However, with tremendous competition all around, it becomes more challenging for the aspirants to get into a top B-school. 

Once the candidate clears the management exam, his/her focus shifts on cracking the GD/PI rounds as all these parameters collectively contribute to a candidate’s admission cycle. Having said this, the purpose of working hard for the exam and then for the GD/PI is to create a rewarding future. Keeping the same in mind, it is extremely important to select the right college for MBA. 

Every year, National Institutional Ranking Framework conducts a ranking process on behalf of MHRD. The colleges that make it to the list are ranked on five parameters:

• Teaching, Learning and Resource
• Research and Professional Practice
• Graduation Outcomes
• Outreach and Inclusivity
• Perception

Each of these parameters is assigned overall weightage of 100 marks. As far as the ranking methodology is concerned, here we shall look at the Graduation Outcome (GO) parameter. The overall GO assessment metric includes GPHE(40) + GUE(15) + GMS(20) + GTOP(15) + GPHD(10).Let us understand these metrics:

• GPHE: This is a combined percentage for Placement, Entrepreneurship& Higher Studies
• GUE: Metric for University Examinations
• GMS: Median Salary
• GTOP: Metric for Graduating Students Enrolled Into Top Universities
• GPHD: Metric for Number of Ph.D. Students Graduated
