XAT 2015 is finally over. Almost 90000 aspirants had registered for the exam. The exam was conducted in 47 cities across the country and at two locations outside India.

Almost everyone observed that XAT 2015 was difficult this year. Most of the candidates found the exam tricky and lengthy. The exam was tougher than last year.
Also, various changes in General Knowledge section were seen. This year, there were 30 questions in GK section of the exam instead of 20.

In total there were 114 questions in the exam. This means that the other sections of the exam i.e. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal & Logical Ability and Decision Making had 84 questions. The exam was in between moderate to difficult.

The topic of the essay writing was β€œListening is a dying art. We hardly listen to understand, we only listen to refute or reply”. A lot of students found the topic easy and interesting. Arti Jain, XAT 2015 aspirant and Infosys employee said β€œThe essay topic was good. There was lot to write on the topic. It could be easily connected to our daily lives”.

The QA section of XAT 2015 was on a difficult side while DI was still better. Aman, a second time XAT taker, said that β€œthe quant section was tough. But DI was better than the last year. This year questions based on sequence were introduced for the first time’.

Most of the students found VA section easy but lengthy. β€œI could attempt the VA questions easily but the section took a lot of time as it was lengthy” said Roshni, a first time XAT taker.

Decision making section of the exam was considered average by aspirants. Students were able to attempt the questions. The section was better than the last year. Priyanka Kaushik felt that β€œUnlike last year, the section was aptitude heavy. We were required to think and answer accordingly. Also, the questions were better than the last year”.
