CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.
The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.
CAT application process for the current year has already been concluded. The exam has also been conducted. The results and answer key are expected to be released at the iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT 2026 registration dates are not announced yet.
MAT is conducted multiple times a year. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are conducted annually. MAT is the only exam that is conducted multiple times in four phases and multiple exam modes. To make it possible for every MBA aspirant to appear for an entrance exam, AIMA designed MAT, which can be taken by candidates from an exam center as well as at home. The exam is held in February, May, September, and December, which allows candidates to prepare and plan for it as well as for MBA admission. In each of these four months, the MAT is conducted in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes. Candidates can choose a date and a mode of exam based on their preparation and convenience. Registrations for each MAT exam phase start a month earlier. Candidates can also take re-tests in the same academic session if they are not happy with their scores.
IIT Jodhpur offers a two-year MBA course via its School of Management & Entrepreneurship. The institute provides full-time MBA course FinTech and Cyber Security in offline as well as online modes for working professionals. Students pursuing MBA course at IIT Jodhpur receives cash award of INR 50,000 at the end of the semester who performs excellent in both curriculum/ extra-curricular activities. Looking at the IIT Jodhpur MBA placements in the year 2023, the highest package stood at INR 23.8 LPA, which was INR 21.32 LPA in the year 2022. Whereas the median package was INR 12 LPA.

Since, the NTA does not conduct any counselling or selection process on behalf of the CMAT accepting colleges, there is no one date when the cut offs are released. The NTA announces CMAT result and after that the participating institutes release their CMAT cut offs, MBA Admission criteria individually. The cut offs vary for each college and is determined by the admission cell. The NTA has no role in cut off determination. So, candidates who have appeared for the CMAT exam can check the websites of their target colleges for admission criteria and cut offs.
