MBA in Retail and Fashion Merchandise - Batch of 2026

Review of FDDI Noida from a current MBA student.
Placements: Almost all students secured placements, with the highest number being 10 LPA, the lowest being 4 LPA, and an average of around 5 companies like Zara, H&M, and several other retail and fashion organizations actively recruit on campus. The roles primarily focus on buying, visual merchandising, and operations.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi at the boys' hostel is poor, and there is no air conditioning; the same applies to the girls' hostel, where only a few rooms have AC. The humid weather makes air conditioning essential, so I do not recommend staying in the hostel. Classrooms are outdated and not equipped with the latest technology. The campus itself feels more like a factor, and there is a significant need for improvement.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable in their field. The curriculum should be relevant, and specializations should begin in the second semester instead of the third. It's high time they updated it to the trimester system. The exams are not difficult.
Other: I chose this college because I want to pursue an MBA from a prestigious institution with a strong legacy. This college is affiliated with the ministry and has INI status, which provides a pathway to obtaining an INI degree. However, campus life here is not very enjoyable.

I am not satisfied and I would not recommend students to take admission in it.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students are placed. The average salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Lenskart, Admitkard, and Landmark are some of the top recruiting companies. Almost 100% of students get internships but they have to look for the internships themselves. The main companies in which the students interned are Armani Exchange, Scotch and Soda, etc. There is not much they are offering in this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good, walls are full of leakage. Almost everything is broken in this college. Washrooms and cafeteria food are also not good. The classrooms are very hot and water coolers rarely work. They provide air-conditioner in classroom in last semester, but that does not make up for the three semesters, students have to sit in extreme heat.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful but some of them are not interested in the betterment of students at all. Course curriculum is relevant, and it does make the students industry-ready. There is no practical knowledge and semester exams are fine. They are not difficult if students have gone through the syllabus. The passing percentage is 35%.

College should start providing their own degrees.
Placements: Placements are good and over 70 plus multinational and national companies come to offer placements to graduating students on the basis of the courses which they have done. Top companies are Reliance, Bestseller, Woodland, PUMA. Almost 100% placements were done from my batch.
Infrastructure: Hostel was out of the campus and no Wi-Fi facility was provided also the rooms were not up to the mark. But the college has significantly improved the hostel facilities for the students now as they have built the hostels inside the college campus for boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and were very knowledgeable in their particular field and each department had experienced teachers within their department. Yes, the course curriculum were very effective and they do make the graduating students ready for the industry.

Good faculty and placement .
Placements: There was a 100% placement record even they helped with further switching of jobs also. Internships were subjected to our interviews and tests that the companies took. But, faculty helped us a lot. From fashion consultant to assistant manager to manager, VM manager, VM assistant, interviews happen with video for a variety of job roles.
Infrastructure: I am a local Resident. But, mess food was okay, not bad, especially the aloo-puri was totally amazing. As I have heard, the hostel wardens were nice and supportive. Hostel rooms were normal. The time was I guess till 7 pm to go out. The cleanliness was good around the whole campus.
Faculty: The faculty is surely amazing. Especially for Marketing management and Introduction to retail, communication- Renu mam, Shweta Saini mam. Their hold on us was good. Even the bored ones studied really well in front of them. Depth of concept was the main catch.
Other: I wanted to do MBA, and as retail is growing it is good.

Good return on investment and average placement scenario.
Placements: 60%-80% get placed. The highest salary offered was around 6.5 Lacs by BATA for the position of District Manager and the lowest goes around 3-3.5 lacs for profiles of Sales. The MBA students get higher packages as compared to B. Des students. Top recruiting companies are BATA, Aditya Birla group, Landmark group and many other start up companies. Top roles offered are Merchandisers, Fashion analysts, DM and sometimes Store managers (low packaged). Companies like BATA, Decathlon mostly visit for summer internships but one can not completely depend on the college. The FEE is very less as compared to B-Schools, Return on Investment is amazing. Fee for MBA is around 5 Lacs for the two years. And average placement is also around 4.5 lacs.
Infrastructure: There are well-structured computer lab, footwear testing labs, leather designing labs, big library, Music room, sports room, Cafeteria, Basketball court, Girls hostel and boys hostel have separate lawns, Auditorium etc. College is famous for its footwear designing course but MBAs are paid more. Hostel is just fine. Accommodation for 4 in one room. There is separate washrooms in boys hostel and common washroom on every floor in Girls hostel. Mess food is just okay, quality of food is okay, canteen does not have much variety, medical facilities are quick, and sports and games are encouraged. A sports and cultural week is organised every semester. The college is fun and full of cultural activities.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Pedagogy and teaching quality is good definitely. The course prepares the students well for Retail Industry and fashion world. The subjects are designed accordingly. Subjects like Fashion trends, Retail Environment, IT application (Excel, Core draw and Photoshop), Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Product Design, Accountancy, Economics etc. Basically, if you have a neck for Retailing then you must opt for this course. Because undoubtedly the course is designed amazingly.
Other: The reason I chose this course was for good return on investment and the appeal. And I chose the course because I got Noida campus. Being in the vicinity of a city like DELHI, students are exposed to good internship opportunities and retail environment.

Absolutely satisfied with institute.
Placements: The placements for MBA in FDDI is very good. All the students got placed in good companies in retail like Raymond, Future group, Wills Lifestyle, Bata, Marks and Spencer, and Reliance retail and many more. They also provide internship to the students, and most of the students got internships from college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of FDDI is very good. All the facilities are provided by institute like Wi-Fi enabled campus, a large library where a lot of writer books are available, fully AC classroom, sports grounds and medical facilities. The food quality is very good, and also seating arrangement is available in the canteen. There is a hostel, where 3 students were allowed to accommodate in one room.
Faculty: The faulty of FDDI is very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are PhD holders. The teachers are experienced in their field which they teach us. The teaching method is PPT and quality of teaching is very good. There is an industrial exposure for us.

FDDI, though little less know but a great initiative by ministry of commerce, government. Of India.
Placements: Placements were initially promised to be 100% but this doesn't seem the case. It has been brought down to 30-40% only. Not very high packages. The highest we got was 5-6l/pa. Placements basically depend on from person to person. Person though entire course is able to build so much of contacts that he shall take the placement off campus only.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is old but creatively structured. All facilities are there. But not very modern, yet clean. Some facilities are missing as it was completed in 1986, but they are planning to add those soon like ramps for differently able etc. Most of the buildings are single floored in dome shape.
Faculty: Faculty here are either very experienced or very educated. They are cooperative and not at all lazy in there work. Always complete their course on time with properly giving time to each student there. Retail department is known to have the best faculty members here, while footwear has the most experienced one.
Other: Overall the college is nice, crowd is fine. It is usually the student community who handles all the co curricular activities. It is very necessary for students to be active in all of these, which adds on further at the time of placements.

The institute provides the good facilities and the faculty members.
Placements: The college is good at the placements for front-line operations and merchandising along with some e-commerce companies. It goes with all the major retail companies for the profiles in operations. The college offers a few placements abroad as well. BATA, RIL, Major brands, Landmark, etc., are some of the major pioneers.
Infrastructure: It has a good dome structure and enough parking. The projector enabled classes with the basketball, badminton, and volleyball ground. The campus is spacious and filled with the greenery. The library and the sports are well-ventilated with the good surroundings. There is a cafeteria with the good seating arrangement, which is enough area to hang out.
Faculty: It offers the design and retail courses with the footwear design as well. The faculty members are supportive and intelligent. The course curriculum is apt but may get monotonous at times. However, these are skill-based courses and so working as an intern is advised to secure the good placements. The Friday activities are fabulous with the ramp walk and the design exhibits. The connectivity to the college is through the metro.
