The Assam HSLC board exams for this academic session have been postponed due to the rise in Covid19 cases across the state. New dates are yet to be announced.
The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has announced that it has postponed the Assam HSLC board exams across the state in view of the increasing cases of Covid19 in the past few weeks. The move was made after several students raised their voices on social media against the conduct of physical exams during a pandemic. The board is yet to announce the new dates for the examinations.
According to the official notification, the revised schedule of the Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams will be announced shortly, after consulting the health department of the state. It is being speculated that the exams will be held in June 2021.
This year, several state and national boards like CBSE, CISCE, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP, etc have cancelled/postponed their upcoming board exams.
Several students and parents in Assam were pushing for the postponement of the board exams, which are to be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, during the ongoing pandemic. Many students are also suggesting the cancellation of the exams this year, with #cancelboardexams going viral on social media.
The practical exams for Class 10 students in Assam have already been conducted. Students must click on Assam HSLC date sheet 2021 to stay updated on the release of new exam dates. Students can download the Assam HSLC question papers and practice answering them to score well.
