Assam Education Boards will decide on the cancellation/postponement of Class 10th, 12th exams after Bihu.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to cancel the Class 10 exams and postponed the Class 12 exams in the wake of rising COVID19 cases across the nation.
Following the announcements by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, the pressure is felt by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) to take similar steps in terms of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and HS final year exams respectively.
However, Assam education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the government will take decision on it after the Rongali Bihu celebration is over.
“Let the Bihu celebration get over, then we will take decisions on it,” said Dr. Sarma.
Assam HSLC exams 2021 are scheduled between May 11 and June 1 while Assam HS exams are to be held between May 11 and June 14.
Students preparing for the Assam HSLC and Assam HS exams 2021 must solve, practice and analyse the previous years’ question papers for better preparation. This will help them get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme, duration and the types of questions asked in the exams. Students must watch out this space regularly to stay updated for any official release by the board.
