Schools and Colleges in Mumbai under the BMC jurisdiction continue to remain closed and according to the last order, the schools will remain closed until tomorrow; i.e. January 15, 2021.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has given its nod for conducting the Board Exams 2021 in the city. The BMC has agreed to allow the state, national and international board to conduct the examinations considering that not allowing to conduct the examinations could cause a loss of a whole year.
Schools and Colleges in Mumbai under the BMC jurisdiction continue to remain closed and according to the last order, the schools will remain closed until tomorrow; i.e. January 15, 2021. However, the announcement regarding the reopening of the schools from January 16 or 18, 2021 has not yet been made.
As per the order released by BMC, different education boards are now allowed to conduct offline or physical exams from January 18, 2021 onwards and the members of the International Schools Association (Cambridge Board) will be able to conduct the preliminary or pre-planned exams of class 9 to 12.
The boards included in the order released include the Maharashtra SSC Board and Maharashtra HSC Board, CBSE, IB, CISCE and IGCSE. Class 10 and 12 planned examinations can be conducted according to the time table.
The BMC will also be taking the necessary precautionary measures from time to time along with those laid out by the State and Central Government which have to be followed. The security guidelines have been issued by the Health and Education Minister along with the state boards which have also released guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for conducting the board examinations.
