The Bihar Board Class 10 Social Science examination has now been rescheduled to be conducted on March 8.

The Bihar Board has cancelled the Class 10 Social Science exam held on February 19 in the first shift after it was found that the pictures of the exam paper were circulated on Whatsapp before the commencement of the examination. The Social Science exam will be conducted again on March 8 for students who appeared in the first shift. As many as 846,504 students appeared in the first shift of Bihar Board 10th exam 2021.

The BSEB said in a statement that it was found in the investigation that the question paper was leaked through WhatsApp by a contractual staff of the Jhajha branch of the State Bank of India (SBI), where the exam papers were kept reserved. He shared the paper with his relative, who was appearing for the BSEB 10th board exam 2021. An FIR regarding the paper leak has been lodged. Police have also arrested two employees of the SBI Bank - Shashikant Chaudhary and Ajit Kumar who were found involved in the paper leak incident.

The Bihar Board Class 10 Exams 2021 were scheduled from February 17 to 24, 2021, as per the released BSEB 10th Time Table 2021.
A total of 1.68 million candidates registered to appear for Class 10 exam. As per the State Board, the boys' enrollment this year is 846,663 while 837,803 girl students had registered.
