The board prescribes the pattern of Bihar Board class 10 exams. Students can check the exam pattern on the official website of the board. The students can also have an idea about the class 10 exam pattern 2024 Bihar Board through the model paper released by the board. As per the BSEB 12th Exam Pattern, the BSEB class 12 exams will have 50% multiple-choice questions, carrying 1 mark each. Subjects having both theory and practicals will only have 35 MCQs in the theory paper. The total exam duration of the Bihar Board Matric exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes.
To pass the BSEB 10th final test, students should get a minimum of 30% in all individual subjects. However, the students are not required to score a minimum mark in English subject to pass the Bihar Board 10th exams. From the last year, the board is also considering a grace marking scheme for those who obtain 8 marks less than the minimum required marks. For such students, the board has the provision to award a maximum of 8 marks as grace and save them from failing.
Students who score more than 75% marks in any or in all paper in the Bihar Board Matric exams get distinction. Distinction remark in mentioned on the final result scorecard.

As of now, the board has not released the BSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2025. However, the board is not expected to make any major change in the Bihar Board Matric exam pattern. In case any changes are made for the academic session 2024-25, we will update the same here as well. In 2023, the board made some changes to the BSEB class 10 exam pattern. As per the exam pattern released in 2023, every subject will now have 50% objective-type questions or MCQ while 50% will have subjective-type questions.

The Bihar School Examination Board has announced the class 10 exam pattern. A total of 80 cumpulsory MCQs are asked in the exam. On the other hand, a total of 10 non-MCQs are asked in the BSEB class 10 exams.
A good marks in Bihar Board Matric exam is generally considered to around 75 to 85 percent or higher. Marks abobe 75% is lebelled as distinction. Marks above 85 per cent can be considered excellent.
The board is yet to announce the BSEB Matric exam pattern for the 2023-24 session. However, based on last year’s exam pattern, two types of questions are asked in Bihar Board 10th exams. These two types of questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ) and Non-MCQs such as short answer type questions and long answer type questions. Total 50 marks are distributed for objective-type questions. On the other hand, theoretical-type questions have a total of 50 marks. Bihar Board class 10 exams are held in offline mode. The students need to write the exam in pen and paper mode. To write the BSEB matric exam, all the examinees are given two types of answer sheets.
