Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to meet Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal today (April 14, 2021) to take a call on the CBSE 10th, 12th Exams 2021.

PM Modi’s meet with Pokhriyal, Education Secretary, and other officials will likely take place at 12 pm on April 14. The meeting will decide on the postponement or cancellation of the upcoming CBSE Board exams 2021.

Recently, parents, students, and other political members have urged the board to cancel the board exams amid rising pandemic situation. The second wave of COVID19 is spreading like fire and is termed as stronger and infectious than the first wave.

Students have been complaining and posting on social media that with online classes throughout the year, the examinations should also be held online. The hashtag #cancelboardexams has been made viral and students and parents are protesting against offline exams.

The CBSE 10th, 12th board exams 2021 are scheduled to begin from May 4 and go on till June 14. Students must solve, practice, and analyze the previous years’ question papers for better preparation. During examinations, students will be required to follow all COVID safety guidelines. They need to wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing and sanitize their hands regularly. The Board has also increased the number of examination centres by 50 per cent to ensure social distancing.

In February, the schools had started calling students in person for the conduct of practical, pre-board examinations. However, with a spike in COVID cases throughout the country, all states and UTs have shut down again and students are left in lurch as regards their 10th, 12th board examinations.
