CBSE Compartment Exams 2020: Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE would be conducting the Compartment Exams 2020 in September this year. After the plea regarding the cancellation of the CBSE Compartment Exams 2020 got dismissed, the students who were to appear for the re-exam after the release of the CBSE 10th Results 2020 and CBSE 12th Results 2020 filed a fresh petition in Supreme Court. According to the latest update, the Supreme Court's decision regarding the plea is delayed and now the matter has been listed for September 14, 2020.
Media reports suggest that the Supreme Court has asked for the matters not to be complicated any further. It made clear that one can serve as the law officer for the entire Union of India and not just the states. As the advocates had only made a few states their party it would not be considered as a viable solution. The matter would now be heard next on September 14, 2020.
Regarding the listed matter, advocate Tankha has said that “College admissions for PG and UG courses came to end on August 31. The problem is two-fold, compartment exams were notified on Sept 4 after the Court issued notice. Now, exams are to be held on Sept 22 to 29”
It was also added that “The question is about the safety of students which you have already dealt with in the UGC matter, etc. But compartment exams from Sept 22 will lead to their whole year being wasted.” The source further suggests that the court then asked that even if they issue a notice to all the universities regarding the issue, it would be of no benefit to not hold compartment exams, as there would be no percentage available with the students for admissions.
Meanwhile, on September 4, CBSE already released the date sheet for the compartment exams. The exams are to begin on September 22, 2020. The compartment exams for CBSE 12thstudents would begin on September 22 and conclude on September 29, 2020, and for CBSE 10th, the exams would begin and end on September 22 and September 28, respectively.
