CBSE conducts surprise inspections in 10 schools across 6 States/UT to curb dummy admissions, ensure compliance with bye-laws, and review infrastructure.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) intensified its action against dummy admissions by carrying out synchronised surprise inspections at 10 schools across Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha on Wednesday.

According to the Board, the inspections were conducted by 10 separate teams — each comprising a CBSE official and the principal of an affiliated school — within a short, coordinated time frame to preserve the element of surprise.

The operation aimed to verify whether the schools were adhering to CBSE bye-laws, particularly in preventing the enrolment of non-attending students, while also ensuring adequate academic and physical infrastructure.

“Necessary action will be taken after reviewing the inspection reports. CBSE remains committed to upholding educational standards and enforcing strict measures against any violations,” the Board stated.
