CBSE has launched the Career Guidance Dashboard and Hub & Spoke Counseling Model for 2025–26, aligning with NEP 2020 to boost student career readiness and mental wellness.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday launched two initiatives ,the CBSE Career Guidance Dashboard and the CBSE Counseling Hub & Spoke School Model, which is being seen as a push toward student-centric reforms aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These initiatives are made to integrate structured career guidance and holistic mental health support into the mainstream school ecosystem for the academic session 2025–26.
The launch ceremony, held at the CBSE Integrated Office saw the participation of over 500 principals, counselors, wellness teachers, and other key stakeholders from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country. CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh, highlighted the significance of building “scalable, inclusive, and sustainable” frameworks to empower students in making informed choices about their academic and professional futures.
“The two new platforms represent CBSE’s commitment to creating a robust support system for students—one that prioritizes mental health and career readiness equally,” Singh said in his keynote address. He noted that both initiatives are technology-enabled and designed to evolve through feedback from educators and students alike.
CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta, further underscored the growing need for schools to act as support anchors in a rapidly changing academic landscape. He said the new programs are an essential response to the increasing demand for psychosocial support and career clarity among students navigating multiple challenges.
The Career Guidance Dashboard, now live at cbsecareerguidance.in, offers a comprehensive platform for students to explore career options, access resources, and receive guidance tailored to their strengths and interests. Meanwhile, the CBSE Counseling Hub & Spoke Model is designed to institutionalize mental health support through a mentor-led network of hub schools, which will guide associated spoke schools in delivering consistent wellness services.
Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE’s Controller of Examinations, also led an interactive session to clarify recent exam reforms under NEP 2020. He walked attendees through implementation strategies and responded to queries from schools seeking clarity on upcoming academic changes. The launch event included live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and expert briefings, creating a collaborative space for school leaders to understand and adopt the new tools. With this step, CBSE aims to ensure that every student receives comprehensive career and emotional guidance throughout their academic journey.
