The Gujarat Board has released the annual academic calendar for classes 10 and 12 on its official website.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has released the academic calendar 2021-22 for GSEB Class 10 and GSEB Class 12. The GSEB annual academic calendar has been released on the official website of the state board at gsebservice.com. All examinations will be conducted in pen-and-paper format, however, depending on the  COVID-19  situation, online exams may be mandated.

As per the released academic calendar, the GSEB Class 10, 12 exams 2022 will take place from March 14 to 30, 2022.

Last year, the state board had decided to reduce the GSEB Syllabus by 25%, however, this year, there will be no such reduction.

Moreover, the preliminary exams for Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted from January 27 to February 4, 2022. Thereafter, the annual exams for classes 9 and 11 will be held from April 11 to 21, 2022.

The exam pattern for this year (2021-2022) will be the same as last year (2019-2020). As per reports, the question papers for the first, second, and third-unit tests will be arranged by GSHSEB for classes 9 and 10. These unit tests will be taken up for various subjects including science, maths, social studies, and Gujarati.

Major highlights:

  • The GSEB 10th, 12th exams will be conducted from March 14 to March 30, 2022.
  • Students of Classes 9 to 12 will have to prepare for their first unit test which will be conducted from October 18 to 27
  • The Diwali vacation for students will be from 1 November till November 21
  • The second session will begin from November 22 and will continue until May 1, 2022   
  • Following this, the summer vacations will be from May 2 to 5, 2022
