CBSE is conducting the CBSE Board Exams 2026 from today (February 17). According to the guidelines issued by the examination authority, candidates are not allowed to carry calculator inside the exam hall. Students with Learning Disability i.e. Dyscalculia are permitted to use calculators that will be provided by the exam centre.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the CBSE Board Exams 2026 from today (February 17). According to the guidelines issued by the examination authority, candidates are not allowed to carry calculator inside the exam hall. If required it will be provided by the exam centre. Students with Learning Disability i.e. Dyscalculia are permitted to use calculators that will be provided by the exam centre. CBSE has barred carrying any electronic gadgets inside the exam hall. Strict action will be taken by the board anyone found carrying the same. Over 45 lakh students are appearing for CBSE Board exams 2026.

CBSE Board Exams 2026: Important Points

Some of the important points related to CBSE Class 12 board exams are given below.

Items Permitted Inside Exam Centre

  • Admit Card &School Identity Card (for regular students)
  • Admit Card & Any Govt. Issued Photo Identity Proof (for Pvt. Students)
  • Stationery items i.e., Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ink/Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Eraser
  • Analogue Watch, Transparent Water Bottle
  • Metro Card, Bus Pass

Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Centre

  • Any stationery item-such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator (Students with Learning Disability i.e. Dyscalculia are permitted to use Calculator Pen Drives, Calculator, Log Table (shall be provided by the centres), Pen Drives, Calculator, Log Table (shall be provided by the centres), Electronic Pen/ Scanner, etc.
  • Any communication device such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Smart Watch, Camera, etc.
  • Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Pouches, etc.
  • Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic students
  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means
  • Use of the above or similar items will be treated under the “Unfair Means” category and will attract punishment as per rules
